We Did It!!!!

This was one happy day! We finally did it! We're BYU alumni and are so happy. BYU has been so good to us. Now, we're excited to move on to the next phase in our lives. It's been quite a journey filled with lots of wonderful memories along the way. We took a TON of pictures so enjoy!

This is a signature jump for us. We did this at our wedding and it turned out great, so it's become quite the tradition.

This is a shot of the actual graduation. The Marriott School had the most graduates out of all of BYU. It was a LONG ceremony but wonderful.

You probably can't tell, but this is me and Josh walking across to get our diplomas. We were SO excited. It was a very fun moment for us both. We were especially glad that we got to walk together. I graduated from a different school within BYU but we wanted to walk together at the same ceremony. It was very fun.

This is Josh's whole family. They all came up to support us for the weekend. It was so nice. We just love them.

My parents made the trip too! We felt so loved having them there. It was wonderful to be surrounded by the people you love most.

Final Days in Provo

When Anna woke up one day this week, I found her bow had miraculously turned upside down! I just died laughing. I thought it was so cute! The very next day, when she woke up from a nap, I found her bow on the very back of her head. I guess she wiggles a lot when she sleeps. So cute! Josh and I are moving from Provo in FIVE days! I can hardly believe it. When I first came to college, I remember thinking that graduation was SO far away, but time has really flown. We're both graduating at the end of this week! We are both very excited. I finished my last final on Monday. Can you say relief? It was such a good feeling to know that I don't have to take another test for like 20 years. I want to go back for my Master's one day but for now, I'm very excited to be a stay at home mom.
BYU has been so good to us. We've both made memories here that we'll never forget and friends that will last a lifetime. We were lucky enough to find each other here and get married. Now we have a beautiful little baby and are just as happy as can be. We both feel very blessed that we got to attend BYU.
Since we're moving, I wanted to see my old roommates one more time. So, we had a roommate reunion last week. It was SO much fun. These girls are just incredible people. I'll love them forever. They are all going to do great things in their lives.

So silly.....

Our AMAZING bishop made ribs and chicken for our whole ward on Saturday. He brought his grill, (that he made himself I might add), to our apartment complex and made a delicious feast. It was very fun and very nice of him to do for us.

Mmm....

The weather here has been incredible lately. On Sunday, we went for a nice stroll around the neighborhood. We took Anna to the duck pond to see all of the ducks. She didn't seem all that interested, but I think deep down she really liked it. I remember before I had her that I would always see people taking their kids to the duck pond and was so jealous. I wanted to do it so bad because it just looked so fun. Now I have and it was just as fun as I thought it would be.

Called To Serve

My little brother began his two year mission serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Young men are encouraged to go on missions when they turn 19 years old to preach the gospel. Currently, the Church has a little over 53,000 missionaries serving all over the world. Before going out to preach, the missionaries spend several weeks in the MTC, Missionary Training Center, where they perhaps learn a new language and how to be better teachers. It's an incredible place. This MTC is currently teaching 52 different languages to prepare these young men and women to serve in various countries. That's probably one of the main reasons 75% of BYU students speak a second language. So, that's where Greg is right now. He's learning Spanish to serve in the Merida, Mexico mission. I'm so proud of him. He's giving up two years of his personal life to serve the Lord and is SO excited to do it. We told him that when he gets back, Anna will be running around telling him what to do.

Happy Birthday Josh

Happy Birthday Josh! Joshua turned 25 yesterday! Yeah!!!! It was a great day. He had our traditional breakfast in bed. Then he had to go search for his hidden birthday presents. It was pretty tough in our tiny apartment! ;-) For his birthday, I got him a new pair of pants, High School Musical 3, (which he got me for Easter), a DVD of his mission pictures, and these pictures below. A long time ago, Josh saw that his friend had pictures of his four generations and loved the idea. I was only able to get three but hopefully we'll be able to get a picture of his great grandpa later. It was cool to see how his grandpa, Sterling, has so many similar features.
For lunch, we enjoyed a picnic on the lawn. Seeing how we're moving in two weeks, it was only appropriate to get one last J-Dawg before we leave. It was a beautiful day!!! Perfect birthday weather.

We went to Magleby's for dinner! We would HIGHLY recommend it. It was delicious. Afterwards, some of our friends came over and we all sang happy birthday to him. It was a great day overall. I'm so happy I was able to celebrate it with Josh. He is so amazing and has blessed my life in so many ways. He has made me a stronger person, and I love him for it. I'm so glad we get to celebrate occasions like this together for the rest of our lives. I love you sweetheart! Happy Birthday!

P.S. The amazing strawberries were made by our friends the Harrisons! They were just as delicious as they were beautiful. Thanks y'all.

Easter

We have had such a great Easter! This morning, Anna woke up to find a thing of string next to her crib. She had no idea what it would lead to.

The string was strung all through the apartment (sorry for the messy background!)

And led to Anna's very first Easter basket. We had so much fun! I got Diana High School Musical 3 and she got me some old movies from DI. Last year, I got Diana Enchanted so it's become somewhat of a tradition to put a movie in the Easter baskets.

Of course, Diana made her famous bunny cake. This was mommy's contribution:

Didn't the bunny cake turn out great. Diana is so excited to do this with our kids in the future.

How could they be anything but happy with such a beautiful, wonderful wife and mommy!

Here are Anna's Easter pictures. She is so cute! She is getting more fun every day. She's almost starting to laugh now. She makes short squealing noises and smiles like crazy! We just love her so much!!!

Diana's been shopping recently and found a bathing suit for Anna for the summer. She's been looking for one forever. Are you beginning to notice, as I have, a polka dot obsession in this family? Hmmm....

Anna's Doctor Visit and Egg Decorating

We had Anna's doctor visit on Friday. The doctor is worried that she's below where she should be in her body weight. She weighed 10 pounds. She went from the 80th percentile last time to the 11th this time!!! The doctor gave us some good tips and hopefully she'll be back to where she needs to be soon. During the appointment, Anna was so tired and cranky. On top of that, she had to get her shots! Needless to say, she screamed like crazy. We felt so bad for her. But she did a great job. She's pretty tough like her Mom. We took these pictures a few hours later and she was back to her happy self.

We were trying to get pictures of her legs where she got the shots and she kept pulling them up! But isn't she so cute!

On Friday night, we had the Harrison's over to decorate Easter eggs. Diana made this incredible dessert that my Aunt Lori gave us. It was so good!

We just love Ryan and Alisa. We're going to miss them when we leave Provo!

I won the egg decorating contest. (Well, maybe not. I think Alisa took the prize, but I wish I had).

So, an update on our lives...

I just finished a big presentation for school. I'm so glad it's over!! Now, all I have left are two finals and I'm done!! Josh has been crazy busy. He has a million projects and papers due right now. We're both very excited to be graduating soon. Only two more weeks of class. We're really looking forward to this summer. It's going to be great!
