Washington University

It's official, we're moving to St. Louis. Josh just got accepted at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. This has been a long process. Last summer after Josh's internship, we decided that working for the Big Four just wasn't for us. It didn't seem to fit the lifestyle we wanted for our family. So, considering other options, we decided that it would be a great idea for Josh to get a PhD in Accounting. He wants to do research and be a professor at a university. He started studying for the GMAT in September, took it in November, applied to schools in December and now it's finally March and we're in! Whew!!

We are both SO excited. We think "WashU" will be a place for Josh to have great opportunities. We've been praying for months about where we should go, and we know that we are going there for a reason.

We just found out that his first day of class is JUNE 8th!!!! That's only about 6 weeks after graduation. We're going to go home to Georgia right after we graduate and spend a few weeks with my family. We're SO excited. I think the grandparents are just a little excited too! ;-)

I'm really proud of Josh. I have NEVER met someone that works harder than he does. He puts in 15 hour days of nonstop work almost everyday to get everything done. His heart is definitely in the right place because I know he's doing this for his family. I think we have a lot of great things waiting for us in Missouri, and we can't wait!

Cutest Baby Contest

We vote Anna. What do you think? Our friend Allie Palmer got Anna this cute dress and she looks so adorable in it.

BYU Rugby

Yesterday we went to the BYU rugby game to watch Ryan Harrison play. BYU destroyed Boise State. We had so much fun!

The weather was perfect! Anna begged us to bring her sunglasses. Isn't she so cute!
This was our first Rugby game ever. It was cool to see how they play.
We are so happy that the weather is so perfect! Just a week or so ago, this was the weather...
Yay for Spring!

Such a smartie pants

Anna is learning how to take turns. She ends up just crying in the end, but we thought the beginning was pretty cute.

The Biggest Loser, Baby Style

One of my first thoughts when I saw Anna for the first time was, "Wow, she's beautiful!!" My second thought was, "SHE'S A CHUNK!!" To say the least, Anna was a little swollen when she came out. Dr. Gammette even made the comment that she had more chins than the doctor. Josh and I were looking at some of her newborn pictures the other day, and I guess we didn't realize just how big she was. So, we thought we'd post some comparison pictures. It's amazing! She's definitely thinning out, even though she's gaining weight. She's more beautiful than ever too!

This picture just makes me realize more than ever that this little girl is her DADDY'S daughter! She looks SO much like Josh. It's incredible! She's one lucky girl.
I just thought this picture was cute! These are her two month pictures.
Anna fell asleep in her Daddy's arms today, and it was just too precious to miss. Moments like this seem priceless. I love having our little family.

P.S. Josh was talking to his friend Roy about how Anna hates tummy time. He told Josh that his little boy, Caleb, hated it too at first. He said they kept making him do it but just ignored him and he eventually got over it. We figured we might as well try it since NOTHING else seems to be working. Roy you're a miracle worker! Anna is finally starting to get the hang of tummy time. She even went TEN minutes without screaming today. You have no idea how HUGE of an accomplishment this is for her. Her little neck is getting really strong. I'm so proud of her. Thanks Roy for the advice!

Doesn't she look like she's having so much fun in the picture below? She's started kicking her legs like crazy; she loves it!!

Good News Minute

So in church on Sundays, we have "good news minute" in Relief Society where you can raise your hand and share something good that happened to you during the week. This is where all of the baby announcements and good tests are reported. Anyone who knows me well probably already knows that I LOVE good news minute. You know that for one minute, you're going to hear nothing but happiness. It's wonderful! I always want to share something but sometimes hesitate to if I don't think it's good enough. It's especially hard to top when someone says that they're bringing a child into the world. So, I've decided to make my own good news minute on our blog. So here ya go!

Anna slept for seven and a half hours last night.
Josh is in Columbus, Ohio right now interviewing with Ohio State for their PhD program for accounting. Our good friends Ryan and Alisa Harrison left this on our doorstep last night. It's a candy gram for Josh to wish him good luck with his interview. I don't know if we ever posted about this, but Josh's younger brother just got engaged! We're so happy for them. They're getting married May 30 in Atlanta. Yep!! That's right....GEORGIA! We're going on vacation!! We're both so excited to go see my family and spend a couple of weeks there. It's going to be great.
Josh and I ordered our cap and gowns this week! Talk about excitement! We get to walk together, which will be so awesome. I'm so excited!

The weather is perfect and just going to get better! I went on a walk today and it felt great! Pushing a stroller on walks is a much better work out than just walking.

I've been pushing Anna in her stroller on campus, and it's SO fun! I cannot stop smiling when I push her. It's so fun. It's kind of like when you get engaged, and you're wearing your ring for the first time. You think that everyone is looking at your ring because it's so new to you and so exciting when probably, people are actually NOT looking at all. I just feel like everyone wants to look in to see her. It's really fun.

Josh and I both got A's on our last tests! Oh happy day!

So, good news minute is overall the best thing ever! I LOVE it! Y'all should try it on your blogs. It's fun. The very best news is that I have the sweetest husband and little baby in the world, and I couldn't be happier.

Anna's First Day at Church

We finally decided to take Anna to church this weekend. We figure she's been inactive long enough. She was sooo excited to go. She couldn't stop talking about it all weekend (in baby talk, of course). We had Stake Conference this weekend and it was wonderful. The speakers taught us about the importance of the family and to have faith, hope, and charity. It was great.

It was Anna's first time wearing a dress. She LOVED it! You can tell by the look on her face that Daddy's wallet will definitely be suffering in the near future, while Anna's closet will be bursting at the seams. We are so happy that she's smiling in response to our encouragement now. She's so adorable.
"Hey, my name is Anna. I'm obviously the cutest baby ever. Don't be jealous."

Anna likes to wink at her mom and dad. As soon as the smell hits our noses, we know why.
Mommy is gorgeous and Anna is beautiful. Daddy is one lucky guy.
We are Fami-Lee....Anna and my gorgeous wife and me.
Daddy couldn't be happier.
How did the guy in the picture above get the girls in the picture below? It's a mystery.
