Photoshoot

This morning our good friend Melanie came over and took some pictures for us. She is an awesome photographer and takes pictures professionally all over the city. Melanie taught me a lot about photography in high school while she served as my mentor for a project where I had to complete 100 hours learning a skill. I was so fortunate to have her as my mentor. She's just wonderful! Unfortunately, she's moving to North Carolina this week; we're really going to miss her!

News From GA

My beautiful sister, Kellie, was in a musical for her drama class this week. She was a Who from Whoville in Suessical the Musical. She got up there and strutted her stuff. We were so proud. This is her first performance like this and she did an awesome job!

My little brother Greg just graduated from seminary. He spoke at his seminary graduation on Sunday and did a great job. One more week of school for him, and he'll be on his way to BYU. He's so excited! It will be great having him at the Y with us next year.

Way Down Yonder on the Chattahoochee

Diana and I are definitely enjoying our break in Columbus, GA! We've been relaxing, with absolutely no studying. It's been great! We went kneeboarding and kayaking out on the Chattahoochee. It was hotter than a hoochie-coochie. Haha.

Moving and Trip to Georgia

Diana and I worked like crazy moving all of our stuff. We left a lot at Aunt Louise's house in Orem and then packed as much as we could in the jeep. That jeep was literally packed so that there was absolutely no room for ANYTHING else! We had to use extreme caution every time we opened a door. But by some miracle, everything fit. We were sad to leave our first apartment together but are excited for the summer in Georgia.
We left on Sunday and drove for three days to Georgia. We had such a great time! We kept entertained by playing 20 questions, listening to Harry Potter 4, and having great conversation! On Monday night we made it to Nauvoo and stayed at the Motel Nauvoo. We got the cheapest room but it was so cold that when we asked for another room, they put us in a really sweet huge room with a bigger bed. We were so excited! The next morning we did a session in the beautiful Nauvoo temple and then spent a few hours seeing all of the sites. We loved it. We then went to Carthage and took a tour of the jail. It was definitely worth the drive to be able to visit these places, especially since Diana just took a Church History class and learned all about Nauvoo and Carthage.
After Carthage, we drove till 2 A.M. so we could get close to Atlanta. We only had about 4 hours to sleep because we had to go sign lease papers in the morning, so we decided to just sleep in the car. So we found a nice hotel and just parked in the parking lot. After getting comfortable, it really wasn't bad at all. We both slept great. At 5 A.M., however, we got a knock on the window and I about jumped out of my seat I was so scared! It was a security guard. He told us we had to move. So we moved to the Cracker Barrell parking lot, slept for another hour, and were on our way.
We made it to Atlanta and went to see our new place. It's awesome!!! It's got a great view and is so perfect for us. We signed the lease papers and then finally made it down to Columbus. It's so nice to finally be here. We're going to have such a fun summer!

David's Baby Blessing

David James Stewart was blessed on Sunday. He's such a cute boy! Dale did a great job.

Graduation

Dale and Bryan graduated last week. The ceremonies were great and we are very happy for them. Dale is going to Atlanta to work for Ernst & Young and Bryan is going to Columbus to work for Synovus. Jared also graduated and we got to go to dinner with him and my Aunt Lori and Uncle Dean. It was so fun. We just love them so much! Jared is going to go to graduate school in the fall.
