Easter was a great weekend. We went up to Columbus and spent the weekend with my family. On Sunday morning, I had two sick kids so we had to take our Easter picture one week late. It was a great weekend though, filled with fun memories.
Easter felt more like a month long celebration. Our neighborhood hosted an egg hunt for all of the kids. Andrew and Daniel were at the Father and Sons camp out so it was just the girls. Anna saw several friends from school and Jenna was loving the chocolate. It was a fun morning.
This sweet girl quickly picked up the concept of hunting for eggs. She was a baby on a mission. It melted my heart watching her run around with a basket almost as big as she is.
Anna searched and searched for a golden egg but never found one.
The next weekend was our ward Easter egg hunt at the church. It was raining so it got moved to inside. The kids didn't care though.
"Say cheese Daniel." This is all he could muster....
Jenna kept dragging her basket behind her, and as a result, all of her eggs kept falling out. She would get so mad but refused to hold the basket any other way.

The following weekend was Easter. We had a very busy day. There were crafts to make, cookies to decorate, eggs to hunt, and food to eat. There were also five happy kids.
The kids loved decorating Easter cookies.
We also dyed eggs. We waited for the girls to go down for naps. It was so fun to see how excited the kids got with their little creations. Daniel was especially happy with his egg masterpieces.
I found these cute little egg holders. They look like scissors but are used to get eggs in and out of the dye without splashing. Simple yet SO helpful!!

After some rest time, the Easter bunny left some eggs out on the grass. Everyone was so excited to hunt for their eggs. There were also three golden eggs to be found.
Jenna only got like two or three eggs before she realized that there was chocolate inside. After that, her egg hunt was over. I kept seeing this image below heading my way, begging for her chocolate to be unwrapped.
Andrew found one of the golden eggs. He was thrilled!
Daniel needed some help with his but loved what was waiting inside, (a one dollar bill). This is my money boy. He almost always has a coin in his pocket. Every time he finds money on the ground or in a drawer, he is completely convinced it is his and will do all he can to make sure it stays that way.

A few shots of my adorable niece. I absolutely love that she and Jenna are the same age and will soon live in the same state. They are going to be BFFs.
Anna is definitely a Granny's girl. I love watching them snuggling together.
I tried making a lemon blueberry cake. I found it on Pinterest and it looked so yummy. It wasn't very good though and pretty dense. I'm not much of a homemade cake baker. :-(
We had a yummy Easter lunch after church. The kids artwork helped to liven up the room too.
We just had to get a shot of Rocky too. I really this dog. He doesn't bark much and is scared of everything. He's my kind of dog.
