Poor Anna

Do you see this sweet face? Well, she woke up this morning with throw up all over her. It was covering her blankets and her hair and even all over her jammies! Poor little angel. Thankfully, Josh was home this morning and he quickly put her in the bathtub while I cleaned her room. The smell was awful. I wonder how long it had been and why she didn't cry. Not even a whimper. On a good note, she has been feeling great all day. In fact, she's been extra, extra happy.
Josh and I got to go to my 36 week OBGYN appointment today. My doctor checked me and I'm 1 cm dialated and 60% effaced. She said that I am right where I should be and that he is doing great in there. It was fun to go today. Now we have weekly appointments until he gets here. It's just completely unreal to me how close we are. I think it won't hit me until he's actually here. I guess it's just hard to imagine having two kids. It was a real blessing to have Josh come with me. He sacrificed about 3 and a half hours to spend the morning with us so that we could all go together. He's just the best husband in the world. It amazes me how supportive and involved he is. I am a lucky girl.
Just FYI, this picture above was taken a few weeks ago. I gave Anna a pretzel and left the room to do the dishes. When I came back to check on her, she had crawled up on the couch with the pretzel bag in hand, emptied the entire bag and picked the ones she wanted from her pile. I thought it was kind of funny. Sweet, sweet girl! ;-)

Just Her Size

We bought Anna a little table and chairs and put it in our kitchen. It is just her size. She loves it more than anything. When I first brought it in, it was like watching a little kid on Christmas morning. She was so excited. She eats everything there. I guess her high chair is history. I realize you can't really see the table and chairs in these pictures but look at the happy smile that's on them. That kind of smile makes a parent very happy!!

Anna the Mommy

Anna is just such a girl. It is truly amazing to us. She has these two baby dolls that she treats as if they are her children. If I clip Anna's nails, she'll take the clippers and try to clip her babies' nails. If I wipe Anna's mouth, she'll wipe their mouths. If I pat Anna on the back, she'll go pat her babies on the back. We love watching her with them. Well, yesterday afternoon we were sitting down to eat lunch and she brought both of her babies to the table. She put them in her high chair, put their bibs on and attached the tray. All by herself, mind you. She then proceeded to give them a bite of her bread before eating it herself. We thought it was the cutest thing, so we had to take a picture. I think Anna will make a great mommy one day and a fantastic big sister very soon.

Now if we can just get her to wear bows....

Andrew's Blanket

I just finished making Andrew's baby blanket. I think it turned out pretty well. This picture is a little deceiving because the light color squares are actually green. They don't look so green here though. I want to make a baby blanket for each of our kids so this is continuing on the tradition.
I had a doctor's appointment today, and everything is still going well. He's starting to drop. The doctor said that his head was really far down, so that's a great thing. With Anna, I had horrible back labor for what seemed like forever. I haven't really had any with him. Hallelujah!! I think he's going to be a little guy. I was SO much bigger with Anna than I am with him. I guess we'll see. My countdown is now in the 30's. CRAZY!! So, all is well in pregnancy land. ;-)

Feeding the Goats

Happy Birthday to me! I turned 24 yesterday and got way too spoiled. It was a great day!! Josh woke me up to breakfast in bed and hugs and kisses. It was really nice. He left me "treasures" to be found by scavenger hunt throughout the day. I could only open them on specific times so that it would feel like my birthday all day long. It was a success. I felt very loved all day. We went out to eat that night and came back to enjoy some yummy birthday cake. I also got to talk to my family all day which was wonderful. My mom spoiled me pretty good too. I have such a great family and I know I am very blessed. So, thanks to everyone who made my birthday feel special. I definitely think Anna was the biggest fan of my chocolate birthday cake. We've had to hide the cake dish under a towel so she can't see it. If she sees it, there is almost always a tantrum involved. I think she gets that chocolate sweet tooth from Mommy. ;-)

These are the treasures I found throughout the day with the CUTEST clues. It was really fun!

We went to feed the goats this morning at Grant's Farm. Oh man, did Anna love it. I don't think we've ever seen her so happy. She was just beside herself. We bought some milk bottles and the goats went NUTS! They were pretty aggresive. It was a perfect morning for us.

Do you see these three goats jumping on us at once? It was crazy.

Once the milk was all gone, the goats didn't want anything to do with us. This was perfect for Anna because then they wouldn't jump on her. So Anna got her chance to feed the goats. She ran around calling out "goats" and squealing. We had to pry her away.

This was definitely more her pace.

Fun at the Park

We took Anna to the park the other day and she loved it. I think she especially liked the swings and the long slides. These are just a few pictures from the day.
