Before and After

So what makes the best, most wonderful mom in the world? How about a mom who is always unselfish. How about someone who is just as happy as you are when something exciting happens in your life. How about a mom who will spend countless hours working for something you want. How about a mom who loves unconditionally. Yep, I have the BEST mom in the whole world. She's really great! She and my sister came up to visit last week and we had a blast!
I was very determined to do some redecorating. Or I guess, just decorating since I really hadn't done anything with my place yet. Our complex lets us paint which is WONDERFUL! A little paint goes a long way and really makes your house feel like home. We got a bucket of paint for $13 and it made it through the whole room with literally not even a drop to spare.
So we have about one million pictures on this post so buckle up.
Here's the before of Anna's room.
Very bland and boring.....
And the BIG REVEAL. Drumroll please.......TADA!!!
We painted her walls a light purple, painted her crib, got new bedding, filled pictureless frames, and made curtains. It was so much fun to do. I LOVE having a little nursery for my princess. I thought I'd not have one until Josh was out of school and had a real job but look. It's great! What do you think?
I've been collecting these Precious Moments statues since I was a little girl. My dad gives them to me on very special occasions. I'll always cherish them.

We still want to blow some pictures up and get a glider for the room but for now, we're more than happy with how it came out.
Cute little butterfly to hold her towel behind the door.

So, do you remember the dining set that I blogged about earlier? Well, I still love it but hate the cushions because they're so dirty. They are officially no more! We recovered them and they look brand new.
Um, eww.....
Ooo La La!!
Much better.
So, we didn't take a real before picture but you can get the idea. This is our downstairs bathroom. It was so rediculously white that I just couldn't stand it any more. We painted it a rich gold/tan color to go with the decor and I think it turned out pretty good. Take a look!

So white and boring.....
..... And now, beautiful!

It was very hard to take a picture because it's such a small room, but I think you get the idea.
And this is a beautiful mirror we got for our bedroom.

It was one busy and very fun week. We got so much done and had a blast doing it. Thanks Mom and Kellie!

P.S. We published a lot of posts so keep scrolling!!

Welcome to Washington University

While my mom and sister were here, we visited Josh at WashU. It was so fun to show them the campus. I think the architecture is just to die for. Notice all of the columns and beautiful detail in the pics below. We love it here!Interesting statue, don't you think?
If you look closely, you can see Anna looking at the camera. She hates being left out!
This is a gorgeous cathedral on campus.
Check out the columns. It feels like we're in an English film.

Greatest sister in the world, my beautiful Kellie!!
The flowers were just too pretty to pass without a picture.

Grandparents are wonderful!!

Grandmas are the best. They love to spoil their grandchildren. Anna's grandparents on both sides are just way too good to her. Josh's parents sent these adorable outfits so we just had to capture some pictures of Anna in them. Thanks y'all!!
Her eyes will just melt your heart.

Notice the beautiful flowers behind her. Yep, those were planted during an exciting FHE and I LOVE them.
Please excuse the lack of bow.

Welcome to the Zoo

We went to the zoo today, and it was awesome!! We had such a good time. It's free too! The grounds were gorgeous, and they had some pretty impressive animals. Our favorites were the hippos, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos. See the elephant in the background?
It's so cute because they have a little train that takes you all over the zoo and all of the kids on there had a smile on their face about a mile wide. The park was packed but we still had a good time.
There's a beautiful bird behind Josh in the picture below if you can see it.
If you look in the distance, there is a HUGE rhino. It looks like a massive rock. He was camouflaged very well.
Here's Anna, just hanging out in the stroller. The only animal she seemed to like was her stuffed frog.
Look at this hippo!!! It was humongous!! This was definitely my favorite to see.
This is a picture of a cheetah!
More elephant pictures.
Check out this gorgeous waterfall in the background. Look how big Anna is getting!
Family Pic. Awww.....
