Hoppy Easter

Jesus Christ, bunny tails, dyed eggs, and candy.  You know it must be Easter.  I love Easter weekend.  It's always a fun, springy holiday that we get to remember our Savior.  I remember this time last year as being very stressful.  We spent our last weekend in St. Louis on Easter weekend.  I was trying to still make it feel special for everyone while I was also packing and preparing to move across the country.  It was high stress for sure.  This year was much more calm and we were able to enjoy what Easter is really about a little better.

My name is Diana Lee and I have a problem.  I know I take way too many pictures but I love it all and feel like I just can't leave anything out.

If I could keep this sweet baby phase forever, I'd be one happy mama.

Daniel is such a little man now.  One of his best friends in nursery is a cute little girl named Ashley.  Well, apparently he loves her too much.  The nursery teachers told us one Sunday that he was kissing Ashley during class.  Ha!  Such a smoothie!  We talked to Daniel and told him that he could give Ashley hugs but no kissing.  Now he will randomly tell us, out of the blue, "No kissing Ashley.  Just give hugs."  Then he nods his head and gives us a very serious look.  I love it!

Anna has been so sweet lately.  Almost every day, she writes me a little note on a napkin with a sharpie and leaves it on my driver's seat so I can find it when I take her to school.  They usually say, "I love you Mom," or "Miss me Mom."  Such a tender heart!

Andrew is my "snuggle bug".  I'm telling you, there is no child alive that likes to snuggle more than this child.  He snuggles until it hurts and then some.  I LOVE it and am trying to enjoy it as much as I can before he grows up and doesn't want to anymore.  A funny story about Andrew though is that last week we were driving home from church together.  Josh was gone at a meeting and I had just finished chasing Daniel down in the parking lot after he started sprinting through the cars.  My nerves were a bit shot and the boys were basically killing each other in the back seat.  Andrew was especially beating up on Daniel.  After repeated attempts to tell him to stop, I finally asked him how else I could explain to him so that he could understand that I wanted him to stop hitting Daniel.  His response, "How bout try it in Spanish Mom?"  Pure innocence.  I couldn't be mad anymore.  How could I?  We all just laughed.  Andrew is good for me because I need him to remind me to lighten up and just be happy.

This. Is. Andrew!  Such a happy boy.
I would have been happy if Jenna was a boy.  Really, I would.  However, I am so, so grateful to have my girl.  I love this little one.  She has started her army crawl like a champ.  She can get to the other side of the room in no time.  I love it.
A few nights ago, I didn't take a shower until about 6:30 at night and when I got out, the kids were playing on the Wii and Jenna was sitting on the ground playing with a toy and facing the TV.  I came up behind her and sat on the couch to do my makeup.  As soon as I sat down, she kept her little bum facing the TV but craned her neck around to see me.  Her little lip pouted out and she just stared at me for several minutes.  I finally got the hint and went over and scooped her up.  She would not turn her little head around until I came and got her.  What can I say, she's a mama's girl!!
This is right before we left for our ward Easter egg hunt at the church.  LOVE these little ones.

The Easter Bunny was even there.  Pretty exciting!

 Jenna loves TV, btw.
Easter morning was filled with lots of candy and smiles.

The Easter Bunny even left them a little note.  He also had footprints around the house from where he had been.  He even dyed the milk pink.  That bunny....

The kids left notes and carrots for the bunny.

 Yep, that's one happy boy.
Daniel found some squirt guns from the Easter Bunny.  He was pretty excited about them.
Jenna missed all the fun because she was still sleeping.  She woke up super happy though.  ;-)
Of course, we had to dye eggs.  It was really fun.  Last year, it just felt stressful and like it was something that we did because we "had to".  This year, it was fun and we did it because we wanted to.

My egg said, "I Love Daddy."  Overall, Easter weekend was great.  We feel so blessed to have our little family and to know Jesus Christ.  It was wonderful celebrating Him with the ones we love.
