The Greatest Job on Earth

Being a mom is the very best job in the world. I love it. Being able to watch your child grow and develop and helping to mold them into a good person brings so much joy to your life. Everything is so exciting when you're a parent. When Anna first rolled over, I thought we would just die with happiness. Her first bite of rice cereal received about five videos and fifty pictures. Crawling opened up a whole new world to us. And yesterday I ordered her a bigger, front-facing car seat. I'm busting at the seams in anticipation for it to get here. Every phase of her life is great. I cannot even imagine how it's going to feel on her first day of school or when she turns 16 or even when she gets married. I never knew I could love my child like this. Anna has really blessed our family. I love her so much, and I love being a mom. No other job could even compare.

Hi Dad

So, on occasion, Anna and I will make a video for Josh while he's at school. We either send it to him to watch if it's not too large of a file or show it to him when he gets home so he can see what we did while he was gone. Anna was babbling a ton today so I thought I'd capture it. Well, of course, she gets shy when I start recording. BUT notice her mouth when I say, "Hi Dad!" Her lips are right on. It looks like she is saying it herself. Then she imitates it right after me. Pretty lucky to get this one. So, this is for you Dad.

9 Months

Our little angel is now 9 months old. I can't believe it! She crawls around the house all day saying, "da da" or "ma ma"....now if she only knew what she was saying! She's so much fun. We're so glad that we have her. Here are a few pics we took today for her 9 month frame.

She thinks everything is funny.

This is Anna when she was just a few days old. Look what 9 months can do! She has really grown.

Got your nose!
Her face is hilarious in this one.

Cute!!
Climbing on up!

By the time it got to Mommy's turn, Anna was finished.

Giggles

Anna got the giggles last night when our smoke detector went off. We walked over to fan it and she thought it was the funniest thing she'd ever seen. Who would've known?

Baby fun!

I love the weekends because I get to spend more time with Josh. Our friends watched Anna so we could go out on a little date. It was so nice to spend some quality time together. This place was awesome too. We sat by a warm fire and each table had a rose and candle on it. The atmosphere was just what the doctor ordered.
My friends and I threw a surprise baby shower for our friend Kate. She is going home in a few weeks to have her baby so we thought we'd send her off in style. It turned out really well. I love baby showers. Here are a few pics from the event.

We had really fun games. There was a race to see who could change a teddy bear's diaper the quickest while being blind folded. We had a race of who could drink 2 ounces from a bottle fastest. It took a surprisingly long time. We also had to search for safety pins in a bowl of rice blindfolded. It was MUCH harder than I thought. I only got one after about a million tries.

This is our mom to be!

Little Max didn't know what to think of the situation, so he just pondered.
