Sweet Boy

Love, love, loving Daniel!  Having a newborn is like heaven on earth.  It really is.  Daniel has still been waking up every TWO HOURS!  It is a bit exhausting only getting an hour and a half of sleep at a time, but for some reason, I don't even care.  I just love having him here.  Heavenly Father really has blessed me to not be too tired.  One night this week, he slept for a four hour stretch and I felt like a million bucks getting all that sleep.  ;-)  And then last night, he was up almost every hour.  Sigh. Good thing he's so cute.

No sister could love a baby more than Anna.  She adores Daniel and is a great little helper!  She calls him Dan Dan.  (We're not calling him Dan btw, just Daniel).  She is a little mommy, and I love her for it!

Yes, I know this picture is out of focus, but she still looks so cute.
She's also crazy, in case you didn't know.  ;-)

Around the House

I just love these pictures of Daniel and his Daddy!  We just are loving having three kids.  Our family feels much more full.  It's wonderful.

When you have a new baby, everything goes much slower.  There are also fewer outings.  Andrew now begs me to take him to Target and Anna prays every night that we can go to the store the next day.  Needless to say, they may be going a little stir crazy.  So, what do you do when your kids are going nuts?  You let the kids paint.  And then you go nuts because it makes a mess.  But they are SO, SO happy which makes it a great idea and totally worth it.  They can be entertained by this for over an hour, which is amazing by the way!  It is especially wonderful when they decide to paint their bodies head-to-toe.
This was the entertainment while I cooked dinner one night.  I was so preoccupied with what I was doing, that Andrew got this far along with his body art before I even realized what he was doing.  Nice.
Do you see why we paint naked?
Oh yea, that's why!

He's All Clean

Daniel's first bath was a bit traumatizing for him.  He just cried and cried.  Well, screamed and screamed is more like it.  Every bath since then has been relatively pleasant.  He sure did look cute though.  Love that little man!

My little Sweetheart!
He liked getting dressed and warm again.  Daniel can almost always be soothed by just being wrapped in a warm blanket.  He gets that from his Mama!  ;-)

Sibling Love

What a sweet face!  These kids have done AWESOME with their new little brother.  I had no doubt that Anna would be super loving to Daniel.  With Andrew, I was concerned, well terrified actually!  He has done remarkably!  They both are very soft and gentle with him.  They are both always asking to hold him.  Their favorite thing is to help him do tummy time.  They think it's fun!  These guys are great little siblings.  It just makes me love them even more.

 Melts. My. Heart.
 I love that itty-bitty body.

This is pretty much Daniel's face all the time. Cuteness.
Like father, like son.  They're bonding already!

More Pics

I just finished uploading my pictures from my camera from the last two weeks.  Six hundred pictures later, it was complete.  Needless to say, we have a lot of blogging to do.  These are the last pictures we have of our hospital visit.  This feels like so long ago now.  Daniel just fits in so perfectly that it seems he has been here for longer.  The transition has been cake compared to the transition time we had with the other kids.  What a blessing!  Check out our pics...
I totally think he looks like my brother Bryan in this picture.

All packed up and ready to go home!  I was one of THIRTY women going home with their babies that day.  Needless to say, it was a very busy hospital.  It didn't feel like a baby factory but I guess it was.  ;-)  Crazy!

These are the flowers my dad bought me.  Aren't the beautiful?

It may sound crazy but I felt so accomplished as we were driving away from the hospital.  We had done it!  We had our third child.  The labor and delivery was behind us, and life could begin again as normal, (well..."normal").  I felt a huge relief not being pregnant anymore.  Whenever I see pregnant women now, I just think, "Oh, I'm so glad I'm done for now."  My body immediately felt relief.  I'm just going to enjoy that relief while I can.  I left the hospital feeling so happy.  Happy that I had done it.  Happy that Daniel was healthy and safe.  Happy that we are now a family of five.  And happy that I've been blessed to have so many wonderful people to love and who love me in return.
