Christmas 2009

Are you ready for the longest blog in Lee history? We just got back from California and have a ton of pictures. We can't leave anything out so here you go.

We went to California to spend time with Josh's family for Christmas. We had a blast. It was wonderful to see everyone. The week just flew by. We made really great memories this past week. This first picture is Anna and Josh right before we took off at the airport. We went to Davy's house, (Josh's brother), and got to see our little neice that we haven't seen since she was born and meet a brand new little guy too. Charles is only a few weeks old. He's just precious. We love that little guy. It was fun to see their new house too, which is beautiful by the way. Davy and Kelly are really fun to be around.
This is little Charles. Precious!
I got to hold the two girls, Lucy and Anna. They were a little timid around each other at first but that quickly wore off. They seemed to be best friends by the end of the week.
You just can't go to California without stopping by In-N-Out Burger. It was pretty good. I think Anna was in heaven.
We went and saw Josh's grandma. She is probably the very sweetest lady in the world. It was fun for her to meet Anna for the first time.

There are several things we learned about Anna this week. Number one, ANNA LOVES DOGS!!!! She is obsessed with them. She squealed every time they got close. She followed them around all day long. Any time she was being fussy, we would say, "Anna, where's the doggie?", and she would immediately smile and try and find it. I guess this means we'll have to get a dog one day.

Check out that face!
We went to Josh's other grandma's house on Christmas Eve. It was fun to see everyone. Here is Josh's dad and two gorgeous sisters.
Number two, we learned that Anna is older than we thought. She seemed less like a baby this week and more like a little toddler. Her walking really improved.
We went to see Josh's sister Stephani and her husband Anthony. They just moved here from Utah and love it. Their apartment was drop down gorgeous. We also got to meet Ben. He's only a few months old and absolutely adorable.
Isn't he so handsome?
Number three, Anna loves soccer balls. She couldn't get enough of it. We had to pry her off of it though because to Anna, everything is food. This pictures captures the difficulty of our attempts pretty well.
I guess we'll have to get her one of those too.

This is Aunt Sammy, not to be confused with Uncle Sam, ;-). Anna probably warmed up to her the most. She was really good with Anna. Sometimes people tell me that Anna looks like Sam's baby pictures. I would LOVE it if Anna grew up to look like her. She's gorgeous!
Here's a great picture of the girls on Christmas day.
Grandpa loved Anna!! He could really get her to smile. I think she warmed up to him pretty good. It was sweet.

Sammy and Josh!! So cute!

We loved playing with Lucy and Anna. They were so cute together.

Isn't she so cute?
Whatever Lucy did, Anna followed. Anna loves that girl!! Watching them play together was one of the highlights of the trip.
This is Lucy trying to give Anna a hug. It doesn't get cuter than that.

They really bonded.

The night before we left, we took a few pictures of everyone that was there. It was great. This is Josh and his brothers, Greg and David.
This is a sibling picture.
I love this picture!
Davy decided to reenact The Lion King. He did a pretty good job too!
Just the boys.

Oh so manly!
Goodbye hugs. Aww...
We had a great week. We miss the Lee's already. Thanks for everything you guys!! We love you. P.S. My Granddaddy got Anna a rocking chair for Christmas. It's PERFECT. Anna is absolutely obssessed with it. Thanks Granddaddy.

Christmas Time

We are really enjoying the Christmas season. It's definitely our favorite time of the year! We've been busy decorating, drinking hot chocolate, and watching Christmas movies. We took some pictures of Anna in her Christmas outfit and they turned out great.

Anna saw Santa tonight at our apartment complex's Christmas party. She didn't know what to think.
Where are my toys Santa?
So cute!
We got to go on a carriage ride around our apartment complex. We live in the best place ever!

We loved decorating this year. We have a small tree that fits perfectly on our end table. It's perfect because our couches block Anna's way and she can't tear all the ornaments off (no matter how hard she tries to reach them).
I love these Christmas balls I found at Target!

Merry Christmas!

It only takes a second....

I only turned my back for about ten seconds when I found my sweet little princess having a hay day with the toilet paper. She has learned the art of the roll. She went through half a roll in about 20 seconds. I thought it was too cute not to capture. I think the pictures do a good job of telling of the experience. What do you think? This is Anna when I tried to get her to stop.
How dare I!!
Oh wait, now that she knows how to get her way, she's happy again.
She kept examining the TP as if it were the most interesting thing she'd ever seen.

It's so fun being a mom. Anna is wishing for her Christmas wish. I just love this little girl.
