Thanksgiving and Family Pictures

We went to Georgia for Thanksgiving this year and loved it! It was so nice to have a relaxing break from school and to spend time with family. We ate tons of turkey, Diana and Janice shopped as if all stores were going out of business and this was their last chance, and we just had a great time! Thanks so much to Greg and Janice for everything! They made it a really special week for us.

We took some family pictures yesterday before our flight home. Unfortunately, we lost our camera so we don't have any good thanksgiving pictures to post. Hopefully Janice can find it soon!

Mmm Mmm Good!

In case you don't know us well, we love to get good deals. And where better to get a good deal than Craigslist. Every piece of furniture in our house plus about a billion other items that we own all came from good ol' Craigslist. As my mom would say, "why pay full price if you can get it on craigslist?" So, this is our most recent purchase. A new grill!!! And how much did we pay, you ask? Only $25!! Now that's a deal. We love it. Everything tastes better on a grill. The first night we were so excited to use it and made a delicious salmon. It was amazing! We had grilled chicken fajitas the next night and they turned out great. We are in heaven. Buying a grill is definitely an investment for your taste buds and for your wallet if you get it off craigslist.

Anna's First Steps

We got a little video of some of Anna's first steps. It takes her a few tries but she finally gets the hang of it. It's pretty exciting for us. I even told the lady in line at the grocery store. :-)

She's a big girl now!

We have no pictures or videos but we're just too excited not to tell. Tonight, Anna took her first few steps. We about died. It was so exciting. We have never been so proud. It seems like yesterday, she wasn't even close and today, here she goes. She has always been like that. I guess that means that she'll do things when she's ready and will surprise you in the process. Yay!!! We're so excited. Hopefully we'll get a video soon.

Our New Wheels!

We bought a new (used) car last week! We love it! It's a 1997 Honda Accord. We've been debating whether or not to actually go ahead and make the purchase now or wait and we finally decided that if we're going to do it, we might as well do it now. This way, I won't have to ride my bike to the metro in the freezing cold winter. We got really lucky to find this car. We had my friends Mike and Christian come take a look at it for us when we bought it since they know way more about cars than I do. They gave us the thumbs up, and after a little negotiating, we were driving away in our new car. We love it because it gets great gas mileage and it drives really nicely. After jumping through numerous Missouri hoops to get the thing registered, Diana has been enjoying her new toy. I, on the other hand, have been enjoying my bike-free mornings with the good old Jeep.

Our Little Ladybug

Here are a few pictures of our precious little ladybug. We loved her costume. It was cutest when she tried to crawl in it. She really did look like a little bug inching her way around. Take a look.

See what I mean....

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. I really love Halloween because it's so much fun to dress up and eat lots of candy and treats. We made our pumpkin pancakes and they were delicious and adorable. I remembered to dye them orange this year so it was way more fun. It was a perfect day here in St. Louis for trick-or-treaters. We went to our friend's house for a Halloween party that night. It was a blast. They decorated their place super cute and had the coolest treats I've ever seen. She is very talented.
We dressed our little princess up as a ladybug. To continue the theme, Josh and I dressed up as bees. At our ward party, someone told us, "There is no way that two bees could have had a ladybug." But here we are. I've been so excited to dress up our little baby for Halloween. It was just as fun as I anticipated.
The whole bug family.
This is Lea and Mike. They threw the party. We had a donut eating contest with the donut on a string and each couple was timed to see who could eat it fastest. Sadly we lost. We weren't even close. Lea and Mike came out victorious!

This is not a kissing picture, I promise.

It was a little messy and a lot delicious.
These are our friends, Jon and Laura. They came pretty close to winning but no cigar.

It was a great day!
