Beach Trip Part Two

This was the bedroom that Josh and I stayed in. We had our own bathroom and private balcony. It was really fun to stay there. It's great having everyone have their own space but still being all together. It was a great set-up.

My sister-in-law is pregnant too and due in just a few weeks. She's having a little boy also. We just had to get some belly shots.
This is my brother Bryan and his girlfriend Ashley. This was the first time that Josh and I met her and we just think she's wonderful. It was fun to have them there.
This is the proud parent of a home grown cucumber. I must say, it was quite delicious.
This is everyone cooking on "Mexican Night". We had music, sombreros and delicious food. It was really fun.
Anna LOVES hats more than anything in the world. If we walk down the street and she sees someone with a hat, she points and says "hat" about a billion times for the next half hour. I think she's obsessed.

My little senorita.

So festive!

After dinner, we all went out in the ocean again. This was by far my favorite time down to the ocean. The water was so shallow so Anna could run around in two inch deep water without us having to hold her the whole time. We played pretty hard that night. It was great.

Pregnancy shot with the whole crew.Chasing Anna in the water!!
It was a perfect night, so we just had to dance. Josh and I got engaged here three years ago. Time sure does fly. It brought back some good memories for us. It was a great trip!!

Florida Trip Part Uno

Beware of a photo dump approaching. We just got back from Florida a few days ago and had a blast!! It was so fun to have the family all together. We missed my little sister who's away at college and my brother who's on a mission, maybe next year. We have been SO worried that our beach would be covered in oil but I am happy to report that we did not see one tar ball. The water is usually sparkling clear but they had just had a storm so it was kind of green when we got there. By the time we left, it was back to its beautiful self. It was a great trip with lots of memories.
Last year my arm got tatooed by the dye from our beach bag and it happened AGAIN this year!! I couldn't believe it. Luckily, this time it wasn't as bad.
Anna LOVED riding the waves with her daddy. I guess Mommy just didn't do it right because every time I held her, she yelled, "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" She just LOVES her daddy.
My nephew David was there too. He's hilarious!! Anna woke up asking for him and cried when she had to leave him at night. She loved having a little playmate there. Check out his facial expression in this one. Priceless!
Anna loved the sand. We built lots of sand castles that she immediately destroyed. I don't think she quite got the point....or maybe we didn't get her point.

Going to dip in the ocean after some sandy fun.
Dale, Amanda, and David! Say cheese!
This is Anna trying to eat the sand. Not really, but it does look like it, huh?

We set our table really nice with candles and beautiful place mats for our "Italian Night". It was a hit. Amanda made a delicious pasta which we all gobbled right up.

Anna's favorite part was dessert. Check out that face! This is by far my favorite picture of the trip.
Or this one....

Better Late Than Never

Happy Father's Day to everyone! I know I'm a week late but we've been on vacation and haven't had a moment to spare. We had a great Father's Day. We're actually in Georgia right now visiting my family, so it was nice to be here on Father's Day with my dad. I'm really grateful for days like these where we get to celebrate the people in our lives. I knew when I married Josh that he would be a great dad to our children, but I had no idea how wonderful he would really be. Josh is so wonderful with Anna. She is such a daddy's girl in every way. He can make her laugh when no one else can. He has so much love for her and for our little baby. I can see it in all he does. I'm grateful for the terrific dad he is to our children. I love Josh very much.

I'm also really blessed to have my dad in my life. Words cannot describe that wonderful man that my dad is. He really looks after us. Even now that I'm married and have my own family, I still feel his sense of protection and love in my life. He really watches out for us and blesses our lives. He's a great example, and I love him very much. This is our traditional breakfast in bed. Mmm!!

Josh's favorite candy!

Anna got him a very special gift.

We are grateful for Josh's dad Dave. He loves to have fun and Josh always talks about the fun camping and beach trips they took as kids and how much fun they always were. He especially loves the times they jumped off high rocks into lakes and rivers. Anywhere there was a rock and some water, you could bet that Big Wave Dave would be there! Happy Father's Day to all the dads!!!
We just got back from our Florida beach vacation. I'll post more about that later but here are a few cute pictures we took while we were there. I haven't touched them up yet, but you get the idea.

This picture just shows our lives in every way. Anna showing us what to do and making sure we know that SHE is in charge. I thought it was funny!
