Our Little Sweet Tooth

We had some friends over for dinner tonight and made a big, beautiful dessert. The only problem was we forgot to serve it. After they left, we were cleaning up the kitchen and we looked down to find Anna's hand smashed in the chocolate, eating handfuls of raspberries and chocolate mousse. This face only took about three seconds to make. She LOVED it. At least someone got to enjoy it. She cried when we took it away from her, but we did let her enjoy it for a minute while we took a few pictures.

Jump!!

We tried teaching Anna how to jump. She tried really hard. We thought it was pretty funny.

Anna the Soccer Star!

We learned that Anna loves soccer balls while we were in California, so we bought her one for her birthday. We are trying to teach her the concept of "kicking" the ball. I think she's starting to understand. When she misses the ball, it's hilarious because she just walks right past it and then turns and looks confused as to why it didn't go with her. So, this video shows her brand new success at "kicking". We think she's going to be a soccer star one day.

Such a Blessing

I am just feeling really grateful lately to have such a wonderful, beautiful, healthy daughter. Anna is always so much fun, except when she's throwing a tantrum, (but even then it's still kind of fun). She loves to be read to. She'll go pick out a book and bring it to us and then plop down on our lap so we can read it to her. She loves handing us everything she can get her hands on. Lately, she's been screaming at the top of her lungs, "YA YA YA YA YA!!!!!" It's hilarious. And my favorite is that she calls us, "Mama and Josh". We are really working on saying daddy but I think she much prefers to call him Josh. I just love this little girl. We are so blessed to have her. It is just amazing how much a child can enrich your life.

Anna got a hold of my scarf tonight. It actually matches the flowers in her dress perfectly. I guess now she has a sense of style. She wrapped it around herself and walked around the house for 20 minutes tonight. Adorable. Anna loves to go point to the picture of Christ that we have in our living room. We tell her that it's Jesus and she actually said "Jesus" the other night. She's a one hit wonder though because we can't get her to say it again. It was pretty great when she did.

Happy Birthday Anna

One year ago today, I was in the hospital having the most beautiful baby in the world. Today is Anna Lynn Lee's first birthday. It's been a great day. I can't believe it's already been a year. I've been thinking a lot about that day. It was a wonderful experience. Having a baby kind of throws you for a loop. You can't completely prepare for it, but it also surprises you how much love you can feel for someone so little. Josh and I are really blessed to have our little Anna.
Anna definitely has a strong personality. She knows what she wants and when she wants it. Sometimes, we just sit on our couch and watch her play as if she is the most entertaining thing in the world. We love this little girl. We love celebrating her life today. So, Happy Birthday my little princess.
This is a picture of the first time I held Anna. Priceless. She is SUCH a Daddy's girl.

Isn't she just gorgeous!!

We showed Anna her birth video this morning. She was quite entertained.
And here's our birthday girl. It doesn't get cuter than this!

Anna got to ride in a big girl car seat today. She finally hit the 22 pound mark. It was so fun. I feel like it's a new toy. Doesn't she look so old.
Anna loved opening her gifts this morning. I think she liked the paper and boxes best of all. We got her some letters and numbers for the bathtub so she can learn her alphabet. The grandparents also showered her. Thanks y'all!
"A" is for Anna.
When we went to CA we learned that Anna loves soccer balls so we bought her a shiny pink one. Maybe she'll be like her aunts and be a great soccer player.

Two Years of Bliss

On August 18, 2007 Josh proposed to me and made me the happiest girl in the world. It's now been two years since we've been married, and I don't think I could possibly be happier than I am now. Josh and I celebrated our anniversary on December 28th. It was a great day, full of memories. I am so grateful for Josh and the person he is helping me to become. He enriches my life in every way. Josh is a wonderful husband and the best dad you could ask for. He is truly the love of my life.
This is a picture of us right after he dropped his knee. These are just a couple of my bridals. It was only 20 degrees that morning, and all of my pictures were taken outside. Brrrr!!!!!!
Wedding day. He is so handsome!! I just adore him.

This is the only picture we got on our anniversary, so I'm glad we have something to help document the day. Josh bought me some beautiful roses and we exchanged gifts. We got some great babysitters for the evening and got to spend some quality time together. It was a great day.
