Big News

 Josh and I are happy to announce that we are expecting baby #3!!  We've told a lot of people, but it isn't official until you put it on the internet, right?  ;-)
We are SO excited about this baby.  We can't wait to be a family of five.  It's crazy that our family is growing so fast.  We went to the doctor this morning to find out the gender and have a check-up.  And the verdict is.........BOY!  I about fell off the table.  I was shocked.  I had myself completely convinced that this baby was a girl.  The technician said that she wasn't totally sure that it was a boy so they are going to check again next time to be certain.  She told us that even though she wasn't 100%, she was pretty sure and wouldn't have said one way or the other if she wasn't pretty confident.  To us, (the very untrained eye), we thought it was totally obvious.  She couldn't be positive because we could see a little boy part but she could also see the three white lines which indicates girl.  Look for yourself but we're pretty certain that we're having a boy.

This pregnancy has already been much harder than Andrew's.  I have been pretty sick and ridiculously tired.  Sometimes I feel achy too, even though I'm only 19 weeks.  No complaints though because a sweet baby is on it's way.  We'll probably name him Daniel.  Middle name is still in the works.  So, yay for boys!

Boy vs. Girl

This is the difference between a boy and a girl.  On our way home from GA, the kids were going NUTS in the car.  I thought we might all die.  So, we stopped to let them get their wiggles out.  Anna goes and picks us all a bouquet of beautiful wild flowers.  How sweet....

Granddaddy

 We went to Georgia to visit my family a few weeks ago because my Granddaddy passed away.  It was somewhat unexpected and we sure do miss him already.  There was just nobody in the world like Granddaddy.  Even though the occasion was sad, we were glad we got to spend time with our family.  I saw some cousins that I probably haven't seen in 10-15 years.  It was a good reunion in that sense. 
While we were there, Anna and her cousin David discovered that Granny, (my mom), has the perfect hill for rafting down.  It was like a mini roller coaster for them.  Josh and I loved it because the kids would go up and down the hill for hours at a time.  It was great!

Happy Birthday Josh

So much has happened in the last month; it's just unreal.  Among those things was that we got to celebrate Josh's 28th birthday.  It was a great day.  He took the day off from school and we got to spend the whole day with each other.  That was a gift to me!  We started off the morning with pumpkin waffles and liquid gold.  Mmm!  It was delicious. 

 Our home teacher brought over some delicious breakfast too to add to our goodness. 

 Here are some things you may not know about Josh....  He loves to wear his socks half on and half off.  It cracks us up.  At first, I thought he was crazy but now I like it too.  My mom still gets a kick out of it. 

 He's a candy lover!  We always have Gummy Worms, Sweedish Fish, or Red Vines in our cabinet.  It keeps us happy!  His candy of choice is always something sour and mine is ALWAYS chocolate! 

 He is THE hardest worker you'll ever meet.  He's a machine.  It still amazes me after four and a half years of marriage.  When we moved, he basically moved the entire place by himself and didn't stop until late that night.  His idea of a break was literally 3 minutes of resting.  I love hard work but I just don't have the stamina like he does.  It makes me feel so grateful for him. 

 Josh is completely non-judgmental. Sometimes, I'll start talking about something and making my opinion known when he always says to just give it the benefit of the doubt.  He sees people and situations different than most, in a much better light.  It's inspiring. 

 He loves being a video camera dad.  We are always the one taking lots of pictures and videos.  When people give him a hard time about it, he always says, "you'll be grateful for this one day!"  And he's right.  I love that we have one MILLION family videos.  I just wish we had more. 

 To side track, we went to Olive Garden for his birthday.  It was the best it's ever been.  We had been working on house stuff all day and were exhausted and hungry.  It really hit the spot.  That night, we put our kids to bed and then spent the rest of the night painting our new apartment.  It was actually really fun. 

 Back on track, Josh loves playing elevator with our kids.  They just can't get enough of it. 

 When Josh comes home from school, he is greeted each day by squealing, happy kids who jump into his arms.  You know you're a good dad if you have kids who can hardly wait to see you.  Basically, Josh is the best husband and dad in the whole world.  We love getting to celebrate his special day.  Happy Birthday to Josh!

 As I mentioned earlier, we moved apartments.  Our new place has a basement, which we love.  Life is more peaceful now because we aren't bursting from every seam anymore.  It's wonderful.  Here's a picture of how we moved.  We didn't move far so just used our van.  Josh stood on the side and held our mattress as I drove.  It was quite the sight.  We feel really grateful to be in our new home.

Finally!

 Andrew finally had his first day in nursery.  He would have gone last week but we were traveling.  He did awesome too.  He went right in and didn't even blink when we left.  His teachers said that he was an angel the whole time.  Josh and I skipped away after dropping him off.  Now, perhaps we can get something out of church.  Great day!
