My Greatest Treasure

I just want to brag for a minute here. I have such an amazing husband. Josh and I have officially been an item for a little more than a year and three months and it has been the happiest time of my life. Josh's sweet, kind demeanor and his capacity to love always amazes me. I am far from perfect, and I certainly make many mistakes but no matter what happens, Josh is there to love and support me in all that I do. I'm almost 13 weeks pregnant now and am still feeling the effects of morning sickness. My sweet husband has been wonderful to me throughout the whole process by getting me drinks, making me eat crackers when I don't want them but knowing it will make me feel better, (and it always does), and even holding my hair back when I loose my cookies. He has such a soft, loving heart. He treats me like a queen and expects nothing in return. I know he'll be a great daddy to our children because he's the best husband I could ever ask for. I love you Joshua!

Our 6-Month Anniversary!

Diana and I celebrated our 6-month anniversary last Saturday. It's really crazy how fast our first year together is going. To make it special, I got up a little early on Saturday while Diana was still sleeping and ran to the grocery store to get a rose and some Pop Tarts (she told me the day before that she'd been craving Pop Tarts). I made a smoothie and brought it in to her just as she was waking up. She loved it!

That day, we went to the temple and did a session. It was fun to think that only 6 months earlier we were there in the temple being sealed!

That night, we went to Olive Garden for dinner (after driving for nearly an hour trying to find it!) It was a lot of fun!

I am so grateful for such a wonderful wife! She is so good to me! I love you Diana!!!

Our Apartment in Atlanta

We promised some pictures of our apartment in Atlanta a while ago and thought we'd finally post them. We love our place! It's so nice (even though we barely have any furniture). It's about 8.5 miles from downtown right off of the freeway (though we're on the opposite side of the building so we can't hear it at all).

Our walk-in closet is huge! Perfect for all of Diana's clothes! :)

We are so glad we got this place! We were so lucky to find it. It's so hard to find a place for just 2 months. Luckily, this lady needed to get rid of her lease just for the 2 months we needed it! Thank you Craigslist!

Braves Game!

Diana and I went to the Braves game last night at Turner Field and it was incredible!!! We had so much fun! We decided to take the Marta (Atlanta's train) to avoid all the traffic and it turned out to be a great idea. It was Diana's first time on the Marta and she loved it. The train took us really close to the field and then a bus took us the rest of the way.

We got a great deal on seats (a college student 2 for 1 deal) and they turned out to be better than we had hoped! We had a great view of everything!

We bought some really good (yet incredibly overpriced) Dippin Dots.

The best part of the evening was during the 4th inning as we were sitting in our seats enjoying the game. All of a sudden I looked up and there Diana and I were on the big screen!!!! We were so excited! We jumped up and started dancing to the music. It was awesome! Then later in the 8th inning, we were up again dancing to the music when again, there we appeared on the big screen! We couldn't believe they showed us twice! (Well, I could believe it. I was with the most gorgeous woman there!) After the game, a couple came up to us and said, "Hey, you two were the ones they kept on showing up on the big screen right?" We laughed and told her we'd be happy to give her an autograph if she'd like one. She unfortunately declined. As we passed another couple at the Marta station later, we overheard them say, "Hey isn't that the couple they kept on showing on the big screen?" We just laughed and kept on walking!

The Braves won in the 9th inning and we were so excited! It was such a good game! As soon as it was over, we rushed down to get on the first bus back to the Marta station. We were both exhausted but so happy that we had such a great time!

Guess What....

Josh and I are expecting a little baby in January!! I'm pregnant!! We couldn't be more excited!!! I'm about 9 and a half weeks along and doing great. I have some good days and some bad ones, but for the most part, I'm doing great! I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful my sweet husband has been. Everytime I'm feeling bad, he's right there by my side. He's a great husband and is going to be a WONDERFUL daddy. The due date for this little bundle of joy is January 16th. The day we found out, we decided to do a little home pregnancy test just for the heck of it. It was a cheap one so we figured we might as well. We had been taking pregnancy tests for the previous few weeks and kept getting negative, so that's what we were both expecting that morning too. Well, we woke up and took it, and once I saw that line starting to form, I started crying and we just hugged. We couldn't believe it. It was such a great moment.

The morning we found out, we went to Target and bought a baby journal to write in and of course, some baby clothes! It was so fun. We both wrote in the journal that morning, and I've been trying to keep up with entries since. It's been great!
This is the little boy outfit we bought. It's a little sleeper and it's VERY soft. It took me a long time to decide what to get because there were so many options.
This is the little girl outfit. All it's missing now is a big pink bow to go in the hair.
This is my very first maternity top. It's really cute on. I love it. I put a little pillow underneath, and it looked really cool.
On Mother's Day, Josh surprised me and bought me this maternity top that I wanted with the sweetest little card. He's the best. My sweet mom also bought me a shirt, and my dad bought me a precious moment statue. It was a great day.

So, I've been busy making a little baby quilt. It turned out really cute. In high school, I made a little boy blanket, so now, I had to make one for a little girl. It was SO much fun to make. It has pink polka dots and pink and white stripes. I love it!!

About three weeks ago, we thought we might have miscarried. We went to the doctor and they did an ultrasound. Everything was fine. The best part was that we got to hear the heartbeat. I can't even begin to tell you how amazing that sound was. I started crying. We both felt very connected to our baby right then. It was the best sound either of us have ever heard. It was awesome. You can barely see the baby in this picture, but it's definitely there.
Yesterday was Father's Day and Josh, being the best husband and soon to be daddy in the world, got a few things. I bought him a really nice new watch, (which he desperately needed), and some of his favorite candy. We went down to Columbus for the weekend to see my family. In the morning, my mom and I got up and made my dad and Josh breakfast in bed. It was really fun. It's been a great time for both of us and for our families. We are all just so excited. Josh and I always talk about how wonderful it will be to hold our little baby in our arms for the first time. It's going to be great! We already love that baby so much. We can't wait for him or her to get here.

Josh's Internship with Ernst & Young

Joshua finally started his internship! His first day was Wednesday, and he's really loving it. I'm so proud of him for being so ambitious and hard working. He definitely deserves this opportunity. This summer he'll be auditing AT&T, ING, and Delta Apparel. We're so excited. The firm has been great. They have lots of fun things planned for the summer including a sweet night at a Braves game, (which is what I'm most excited about). Last night Josh let me take him shopping and we got him some really nice outfits that will be perfect for the office. It was SO fun! (I even think Josh enjoyed it a little bit.) Georgia has been pretty good to us so far. We're enjoying a little break from the heat this week so it's been nice. Tonight we're headed down to Columbus for Father's day. We're really happy!

Movie at the Drive-In

Diana and I just moved into our new apartment in Atlanta on Monday and we're loving it! For those of you dying to see the place, we'll take some pictures and post them soon. On Tuesday night I surprised Diana with a date to the Drive-In here in Atlanta. I was just scanning the internet for fun things to do and when this showed up, I knew we had to go. So I told Diana I had a surprise date planned for us. She had no idea what it was even after numerous hints (which I wouldn't have given, but Diana is very persistent) such as it starts at 9:00 PM, it costs money, and we have to bring a blanket, some pillows, lawn chairs, popcorn and other snacks. She thought we were going to go to a laser light show in Stone Mountain. I made her close her eyes right before we got there and then had her open them once the Starlight Six Drive-In sign was illuminated. She was soooo excited. She'd never been to a drive-in before. We had so much fun. We watched Indiana Jones (which was surprisingly better than we'd heard it would be) and ate nachos and snacks. It was so great!!! (The drive-in sign picture looks so bad because we took it from the car.)
