Halloween is such a fun time of year. I love the adorable decorations, dressing up in costumes, going trick or treating, carving pumpkins.... Not to mention the fall scented candles and delicious pumpkin bread that is a staple around this time of year. What makes Halloween more fun? Having children who also share in the excitement. The kids drew pictures of Halloween things on paper, cut them out, and taped them all around our house. They also have been watching the Halloween movie of Curious George about a scarecrow who doesn't have a head and kicks peoples' hats off as they walk past. The kids were completely scared. I think it is hilarious! They spent hours making posters about this character to post around the neighborhood to warn people. I thought it was so cute.
We had to carve pumpkins, of course. Andrew wanted a Jake and the Neverland Pirates pumpkin. Anna wanted Elsa. We baked the pumpkin seeds afterwards and they were delicious.
Andrew was really into carving his pumpkin. He was focused and worked hard! I love seeing him get so into a project.
Um, is that the cutest monkey you've ever seen?
His face was killing me. He was cute and he knew it. My little stinker!
I'm obsessed with this boy. My little monkey man.
Jenna was having a hard night, so she didn't make it into the picture. I wish she was in there but it's still a cute picture of my three little goblins.
Elsa the Queen, my sweet girl.
Jake, from Jake and the Netherland Pirates. Love that fun loving kid.
We went trick or treating with some of our friends in our neighborhood. It was so fun to all go together. The kids were all on cloud nine. I loved watching them go door to door and looking so incredibly happy. A mother is never as happy as when her kid is happy.
I'm obsessed with these two pictures below. This pretty much sums up our night to a T. Too much fun to take a picture. This just looks like pure childhood here.
Daniel was so into this. Of course, right? What kid doesn't love getting a ton of candy?
Here's his stash! We made out way too well.
Way too much sugar! A good night, indeed.
We didn't forget about our little princess. She was doing much better by the end of the night. She even let us take a few pictures. I sure do love her!
My little cutie.
Daniel is really into saying, "MINE!!!!" His candy bag was no exception. He's a stinker, for sure, but it sure is cute.
"No, mine!"
